Seasonal Maintenance Worker Leader (Trails)

These positions may be filled for a six month seasonal period, but can be vary due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Season : October 2025 - April 2026. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:

• Ability To Lead Or Supervise (Screen-Out)
• Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)
• Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
• Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
• Knowledge of materials
• Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
• Use of Measuring Instructions

In preparing your application, describe in detail the experience and training which you have had that specifically prepared you for this job and to perform the duties described for this job. Examples of experience: (1) Leading crews of at least 3 persons performing complex backcountry trail maintenance and trail structure construction in remote settings for long periods of time. (2) Leading crews in the reconstruction of log check runs, rock and log retaining walls, boardwalks and raised turnpikes/causeways, switchback layout and construction, and revegetation efforts. (3) Leading crews in the set up and use of complex rigging systems and the protocols of backcountry work camps. Experience should be clearly described and documented in your resume.
