Facilities Maintenance Worker

Greenville-Reynolds Development Corporation is seeking two Facilities Maintenance Workers to join our team. We own and manage three industrial/business parks and two regulated utility companies.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of general labor and maintenance work necessary to keep our buildings, plant facilities, machinery, and equipment in operable condition. The role will assist in the day-to-day operations of our three companies and provide general maintenance and/or repair work as needed. Advancement is available, and you must be willing to become certified as a Water and Sewer Plant Operator.

Repair and maintain a variety of plant equipment and machinery.

Proficient with hand tools.

Operation of lawn mowing and snow removal equipment.

Keep equipment and machinery in good and safe working condition.

Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and repair equipment/machinery under supervision.

Maintain open, accurate, and positive communication with other employees.

Ensure safety rules are always followed.

Perform other maintenance duties involving light carpentry, plumbing, painting, housekeeping, or other tasks associated with the improvement of plant facilities, equipment, or machinery under supervision.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.

General equipment/machinery maintenance experience preferred.

Heavy equipment operation or experience operating farm equipment preferred but will train the right candidate.

Should possess excellent problem-solving and/or troubleshooting skills.

Experience with a variety of hand tools and equipment is beneficial.

The ability to work positively with others is essential.

Must be motivated and possess a good work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.

Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.

May occasionally work from heights greater than 6 feet. Must not be afraid of heights.

Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, twisting.

May work in a variety of weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Based on Experience

Expected hours: 40 per week; however, mandatory weekend rotation every third week, typically 8 to 16 hours of overtime per month.
