Boulder County Public Works Department is seeking to hire a Building Services Maintenance Worker I . The Building Services Maintenance Worker I is an entry level in the Maintenance series. The Building Services Maintenance Worker I performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled, requiring independent judgment and thorough knowledge of departmental operations, in the development and maintenance of county buildings and grounds.
This is a full-time, benefited position that will work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 7 :00am - 3:30pm . This position will work out of 2525 13th St Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime).
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range : $51,408.00 - $62,766.00 Annually

- Performs routine repairs and maintenance of large commercial buildings and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, light carpentry and grounds
- Handles preventive/routine maintenance and improvement projects on properties administered by the Building Services Department
- Performs semi-skilled duties in maintaining and repairs of building equipment including HVAC, boilers, chillers, plumbing and electrical systems
- Conducts snow removal operations
- Performs skilled and semi-skilled duties in the operation and maintenance of hand tools, power tools and equipment
- Participates in rotating on-call
- May be required to respond to emergencies, during and after work hours
- Snow removal with possible 4am start time
- Performs related work, as required
- May be reassigned during emergency situations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of commercial building maintenance experience, including: preventive maintenance, trouble shooting and repairs of HVAC, boiler, chiller, plumbing, electrical systems, light carpentry work and grounds/landscape maintenance.
Additional related education may count towards required experience.
