JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled licensed Maintenance Electrician to support our high-volume Distribution Center in Gresham, Oregon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems including motors, conveyors, PLCs, and control panels. This role ensures safe, efficient operation of facility equipment in compliance with Oregon electrical codes, OSHA standards, and company policies.
Key responsibilities include preventative maintenance, electrical installations, system upgrades, and collaboration with other departments to support overall facility operations. The role requires hands-on experience in an industrial or warehouse setting, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.
This is a physically active role in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment that may involve working at heights, in varied temperatures, and around industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance & Repair
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, including motors, conveyors, PLCs, and control panels.
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
Install, test, and maintain wiring, lighting systems, and electrical/Electronic components.
Repair or replace faulty components such as breakers, switches, fuses, and transformers.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Oregon electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
Conduct electrical safety inspections and recommend improvements as needed.
Facility & Equipment Support
Maintain electrical systems in a high-volume distribution center (DC) environment, including conveyor systems, automated sorting equipment, and facility lighting.
Work with facility management to ensure smooth operation of electrical systems.
Assist with energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability projects.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other maintenance personnel to address operational needs.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members when needed.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and document work orders using maintenance software.
Work Environment
Primarily in a Distribution Center (DC) setting in Gresham, Oregon, which may include:
High ceilings and large industrial spaces
Loud machinery and equipment noise
Exposure to dust, heat, and cold temperatures depending on the facility
Working at heights using lifts or ladders
Standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
Must be comfortable working in fast-paced, high-demand environments with strict safety protocols.

Requirements:
Education & Licensing
Oregon Electrical License (LME, LRT, or General Journeyman Electrician)
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Experience
3+ years of experience as an industrial or maintenance electrician
Prior experience in a distribution center, manufacturing, or warehouse environment preferred
Experience with PLC troubleshooting, motor controls, and automation systems is a plus
Technical Skills
Proficiency with electrical testing tools, schematics, and blueprints
Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical issues
Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and Oregon state regulations
Familiarity with VFDs, three-phase motors, and high-voltage systems
