Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a rubber manufacturing company, is seeking a Mechanic 3 to join their team. As a Mechanic 3, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting Production and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanic 3
Location: Auburn, Hills, MI
Pay Range: $28 - $35/hr

• Independently modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot injection press and auxiliary equipment
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using PLC ladder logic and mechanical principles
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities and maintain plant equipment such as compressors, chillers, and fire systems
• Train others on equipment setup, changeover, and maintenance procedures
• Respond to equipment issues promptly and maintain documentation for shift handovers

• Trade school certification or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical systems maintenance
• PLC experience (AB PLC-5 or Siemens)
• Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and lockout/tagout procedures
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical sketches
