The Maintenance Supervisor will direct and lead maintenance teams in the installation, repair, predictive, and preventative maintenance of equipment throughout the plant facility. Oversee and provide stewardship of processes to reduce mechanical downtime and keep product flows and production lines running at maximum efficiency. Champion the development and technical competency of work groups and individuals to keep groups running in a collaborative manner and at their peak performance.
Responsibilities- Directly supervise people and is responsible for administration of personnel functions. Will recruit, develop, and retain (within the company) people with the right attitude and aptitude. Support talent pipeline programs for internal and external talent to ensure they effectively meet their intended targets.
- Supervise and provide oversight over work processes in technical department. Develop weekly work plans, schedules, and delegate work assignments to appropriate personnel.
- Encourage and motivate work groups to perform tasks at peak ability. Support work groups by ensuring proper tools, supplies, resources, and the coordination with others is in place. Provide effective decision support and be proactive, resolving roadblocks or areas of frustration for team.
- Implement and administer effective work procedures for work group. Motivate, train, and ensure people follow and execute assignments according to work procedures and workflows.
- Provide effective problem-solving and decision support regarding technical and personnel matters. Provide troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance support for various systems, such as but not limited to, refrigeration, utility, and HVAC.
- Leverage effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to ensure that all personnel are skilled, prepared, engaged, and performing to their fullest potential. Effectively communicate across the company to individuals, work groups, and departments.
- Create and execute development plans for personnel. Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to improve an individual and/or team's technical competence. Promote the how-to attitude and foster a learning environment.
- Routinely consult with department, plant management, and company leadership on matters of reliability, safety of people, and equipment, which also includes continuous development of people. Swiftly and effectively implement change.
- Deliver continuous improvements to department processes, performance, and capabilities through listening and engaging with front-line support and operators. Promote change and encourage new programs and solutions throughout the company.
- Research and bring forward new processes, methods, and equipment within the industry to assist the company in remaining abreast of industry change regarding operations and safety.

Skills and Abilities
- Fundamental craft skills such as, but not limited to, millwright, machinist, engineer, related military technical training, or other relevant work history or technical training.
- General computer knowledge and proficiency.
- Knowledgeable in maintenance management systems such as preventative and predictive maintenance, work orders, and scheduling.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 60lbs.
- This position requires standing, walking, climbing, twisting, reaching, bending, and lifting.
Experience: Relevant experience in industrial NH3 refrigeration is required. Proven level II refrigeration certification is preferred or ability to be qualified within 1 year. Education: AAS mechanical or technical education is preferred. Well-rounded, practical experience may be substituted in lieu of formal education. Department: Maintenance
