Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a leader in the packaging industry, is seeking a Mechanic to join their team. As a Mechanic, you will be part of the operations department supporting the packaging line team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanic 2nd Shift

Location: Mechanicsburg, PA

Pay Range: $25-$29 per hour

Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM (Monday to Friday)

What's the Job?

• Install, setup, clean, and repair packaging line equipment (i.e. shrink-wrap lines, conveyors, tapers).
• Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of systems using electrical, mechanical, and processing skills.
• Maintain production efficiency and quality by troubleshooting equipment problems and determining root cause.
• Make effective repairs and adjustments to equipment in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate ability to setup and changeover all Packaging Line equipment to ensure minimum downtime and smooth startup.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate packaging line and related equipment including startup, adjustments, clearing jams, and shutdown.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
