Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Abbott Park, IL
Pay Range: $30.21 per hour

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure safe and reliable operations.

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, addressing production stop situations and implementing corrective actions.

• Respond to alarms or trouble calls, maintaining a strong floor presence to support production goals.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, spare parts inventory, and needed materials.

• Escort and assist outside repair personnel when required.

• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and production systems.

• Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance practices.

• Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Proficiency with tools and equipment such as welders, multimeters, micrometers, torches, and lathes.

• Flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, or extended hours based on business needs.
