Join the Fleet Maintenance Division of Nevada County and help keep our county vehicles and equipment in operating condition! We are looking for dedicated professionals to help us maintain, inspect, service and repair a wide variety of heavy vehicles, equipment and power tools. We offer a 4 day, 10 hour work week.
Minimum requirements include (I) graduation from high school or GED, supplemented by either vocational program coursework, trade school coursework, or college coursework; or six months of bus or heavy vehicle or equipment repair experience; (II) in addition to above, specialized course work from an accredited trade school, college or university in the repair of buses or road construction equipment and two years of experience in the service and repair of buses or heavy vehicles or equipment. Positions also requires possession of a valid California driver's license within 30 days of hire (a Class B license may be required when duties include road testing specific equipment. Possession of a valid California certification to service and repair air conditioning systems preferred).
