Preventative Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are currently seeking a dedicated 1st shift Preventative Maintenance Technician responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and basic reactive maintenance on machines throughout the plant. This role involves spending 70% of your time on preventative maintenance tasks such as lubing, greasing, and replacing parts, and 30% on responding to reactive line calls utilizing tools like voltmeters to troubleshoot welders, plasma cutters, hoists, and other equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Complete detailed preventative maintenance schedules on machines throughout the campus.
+ Work on various machines including industrial saws, hand and power tools, welders, torches, plasma cutters, hoists, and material handling equipment.
+ Grease bearings and check oil levels on machines.
+ Remove faulty parts and replace them with new ones.
+ Follow blueprints when available.
+ Utilize voltmeter or multi-meter for machine troubleshooting.
+ Conduct mechanical troubleshooting on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Perform occasional electrical troubleshooting.
+ Collaborate with maintenance technicians on complex breakdowns.
+ Assist team members with projects throughout the plant.
**Essential Skills**
+ Preventative and corrective maintenance expertise.
+ Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
+ Mechanically inclined with knowledge of motors, pumps, and valves.
+ Ability to be a self-starter and manage time effectively.
+ 1+ years of mechanical experience in automotive, industrial, or diesel settings.
+ 1+ years of preventative maintenance experience including lubing, greasing, changing oil, and swapping parts.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $47840.00/yr.
