Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician Job Description Join our team as a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician where you'll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. Your expertise in mechanical, industrial electrical, pneumatic mechanical, PLC, and automation will be crucial to ensuring seamless operations. Responsibilities Conduct mechanical troubleshooting with industrial processing, packing, and peripheral plant equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics accurately. Perform machining, metal fabrication, and welding tasks to fabricate small machine parts and guards; welding certification preferred but not required. Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, accumulators, and compressors. Execute pipefitting tasks as needed. Utilize relay logic and skilled techniques in high and low voltage electrical wiring. Essential Skills Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and industrial electrical systems. Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. Experience with pneumatic mechanical systems and automation technology. Competence in PLCs, compressors, and motor drives. Understanding of relay logic and electrical automation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in pipefitting and robotics. Knowledge in instrumentation and motor drives. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a non-climate controlled food manufacturing environment that is clean but experiences seasonal temperature variations. The facility is divided into raw product, distribution, and warehouse areas. Positions available for 3rd shift (11p-7:30a). Uniforms, hair nets, beard nets, non-slip shoes, and butchers aprons are required depending on the area. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gahanna, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
