Job Summary

The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment reliability and minimal downtime. This role works closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and lean teams to develop efficient computerized maintenance management system and help develop TPM (Total productivity maintenance programs), manage work orders, and support continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain weekly and monthly maintenance schedules based on work orders, priorities, and resource availability.

Coordinate with maintenance technicians, planners, and operations to ensure work is properly assigned and completed on time.

Review and prioritize maintenance requests, ensuring alignment with production requirements and safety standards.

Track progress of scheduled maintenance tasks and update work order statuses in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Develop a SOW and work with external teams to improve CMMS system.

Help develop a TPM (total productive maintenance) program

Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate emergency repairs or changes in production.

Analyze maintenance data and generate reports on equipment downtime, backlog, and schedule compliance.

Support preventive maintenance and reliability improvement initiatives.

Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams regarding upcoming maintenance activities and potential impacts on operations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for audit and compliance purposes.

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

5 years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong working knowledge of CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, or similar).

Understanding what TPM is

Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems is preferred.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Primarily office-based with periodic visits to production or plant areas.
