Maintenance Supervisor

Confidential Opportunity: Director of Maintenance Skilled Nursing Facility (White Plains, NY Area)

A well-established skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in the White Plains, NY area is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Maintenance to lead its maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and supervise staff

• Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper equipment functioning

• Assign and supervise maintenance tasks and schedules

• Manage all repair and preventative maintenance activities

• Ensure timely completion of in-house and contracted maintenance work

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, warranties, and maintenance logs

• Oversee departmental budget and monitor expenditures

• Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA

• Remain available for emergency situations as needed (on-call)

Qualifications:

• Must have prior supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting

• Minimum 5 years experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Solid computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office

• Ability to multi-task and stay focused in high-pressure situations

• Proven leadership and team management capabilities
