Maintenance Worker (Odr)

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation Facility.

This is a flexible position meaning it guarantee's 0 hours but could work up to 40 hours and it does not include benefits. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have manual skill and knowledge to operate simple power equipment, such as powered push lawnmowers, leaf blowers, weed trimmers, tractors and low-pressure sprayer. Knowledge of basic hand tools such as handsaws, hatchets, clippers. Ability to read and follow simple signs and specific written and/or oral instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Also, must have experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical etc. Physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and be able to occasionally lift and carry object weighing up to 50 pounds. Able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions. This a drug testing position and a Tier 1 background investigation.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
