The Facilities Manager serves as the primary overseer of UCP of Central AZ locations. This person is responsible for all facility-related concerns including, but not limited to: security, safety, key control, space planning, general maintenance, equipment needs, and parking. In addition, this person manages planning, directing, and overseeing of building operations for all UCP locations in an effort to provide a safe environment for all staff and visitors.

Essential Responsibilities:

Facilities

Responsible for day to day management of facilities staff with regards to scheduling, job assignments, training and timesheet management.

Create and manage facilities work including creating schedules of task on a weekly/monthly basis.

Direct, develop and train facilities staff.

Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements (daily, weekly, monthly, annual schedules).

Gathers and analyzes usage statistics and writes timely reports

Participate in facilities strategic planning including annual budget development and monitoring.

Oversee conduct and document regular facilities and van inspections including fire drills. Ensure all company owned vehicles are serviced and maintained and provide supervision of facilities staff.

Manages and ensures the Material Safety Data sheets are accurate/meet regulatory requirements.

Manage staff on alarm response procedures and protocols.

Oversee and manage the activity of the on call and after hours log

Diagnose various problems and perform appropriate repair and maintenance.

Oversee facility and maintenance staff and needs of buildings.

Oversee facility equipment and fixture needs, including maintenance and commercial repair for irrigation, plumbing, electrical, lighting fixtures, HVAC systems including filters, and painting and beautification of the properties.

Solicits bids and quotes from vendors, negotiate contracts to optimize cost savings.

Responsible for concise reporting of facilities documentation for executive staff.

Supervise maintenance and facility vendor contractors.

Coordinates and assists with departmental and employee moves.

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards that includes federal OSHA and regulatory requirements.

Implements and ensures safety practices and procedures are administered and adhered to across the organization.

Acts as Safety lead and oversee the safety committee.

Conduct daily & monthly safety audit inspections of the production and maintenance activities relative to OSHA Standards to help detect accident and health hazards.

Assist with risk assessments and accident/incident investigations to obtain the root cause and ensures corrective actions are implemented to prevent re-occurrence.

Observe and communicate to management safety concerns and observations

Create and administer safety overview and trainings for new temporary staffing associates, vendors, consultants as needed.

Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental best practices in alignment with the company policies and compliance requirements.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance laws for the general industry

Exhibits passion, integrity and responsibility for safety of all individuals

Ability to conduct safety training.

Ability to recognize and abate hazards[DG2]

Review and assist with Incident Investigation, Root Cause and Corrective Actions follow up. [DG2]

Qualifications

Minimum: Minimum three years’ experience. Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or three (3) plus years in business environment where facilities was primary responsibility; at least two (2) of which includes supervision of both staff OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Back-up driver requirements include Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and CPR/First Aid certification.

Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

Able to work independently on projects and collaboratively as a team member

General business, management, finance and accounting knowledge including budgeting activities.

General knowledge and experience in planning, prioritizing, and organizing a complex workload.

Strong computer skills to be able to utilize MS office products (Word, Excel)

Strong interpersonal/communication & analytical skills and able to work effectively with others

Must have good work ethic, ability to learn quickly, and ability to make solid decisions.

Ability to multitask and set priorities

Ability to problem-solve, recommend solutions and present to executive team and Board of Directors if needed.

Preferred: Five years’ experience in a supervisory role. OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour
