We are seeking a highly motivated Field Mechanic to add to our team to service work sites in the Denver Metro area. The successful candidate will provide service to our fleet of Caterpillar equipment. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently and as a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair heavy construction equipment

  • Order parts as needed

  • Prioritize repairs based on job needs

  • Follow supervisor directions

  • Travel to work sites in the greater Denver Metro area

  • Work independently or with fellow field mechanics

  • Complete DOT paperwork in a timely manner

  • Conduct daily Pre-trip inspection of mechanic's truck

  • Perform regular upkeep of mechanic's truck

  • Account for daily parts invoices

  • Create and complete work orders correctly and timely

  • Contribute knowledge and ideas to increase productivity

  • Continue learning and strengthening skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

  • Works well independently and has a passion to learn

  • Good organization skills and follow through

  • Alert, focused, and detail oriented

  • Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Basic understanding of safe work practices

  • Clean driving record

  • Full set of tools for large equipment repair

  • Familiar with OEM standards

Education and Experience:

  • CDL class B or higher

  • Current CDL medical examiners certificate

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)

  • 3+ years of CAT mechanic background

  • Basic knowledge of Cat SIS and ET (training available)
