Avionics Mechanic - Aircraft Maintenance & Electrical Systems
Sirius Talent is seeking experienced Avionics Mechanics to support a leading aerospace and defense operation in Mobile, Alabama. We are hiring for both day shift and night shift opportunities supporting aircraft electrical and avionics systems maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, installations, and repairs in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Position Details
2 Day Shift positions
2 Night Shift positions
Pay: $33.00 - $35.00/hour
Additional $1.00/hour shift differential for night shift
Full-time position - 30+ hours per week
Night shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
PTO offered - 5 accrued PTO days
6 paid holidays annually
Additional screenings required as part of the hiring process
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of aircraft electrical and avionics systems
Conduct operational and functional checks on navigation, communication, instrumentation, and flight control systems
Install, modify, and fabricate wiring harnesses and avionics systems
Interpret avionics and electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, connectors, circuits, and cable assemblies
Troubleshoot and repair defective electrical and electronic components and assemblies
Perform preventive maintenance and support aircraft serviceability testing
Operate ground support and test equipment for diagnostics and system verification
Complete maintenance documentation and work packages accurately
Assist with technical troubleshooting and train other maintenance personnel as needed
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following FAA and OSHA regulations
Required Qualifications
Prior avionics experience required
Prior aircraft maintenance experience required
Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical and electronic systems
Experience reading and interpreting avionics/electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Experience with wiring harness fabrication, connectors, circuits, and troubleshooting
Ability to use diagnostic and testing equipment for electrical/electronic systems
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Must be safety conscious and able to work in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces when required
Must be able to read, write, and understand English proficiently
Preferred Qualifications
FAA Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) License preferred
FCC License preferred but not required
Experience with turbo prop aircraft preferred
Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Additional Information
Potential domestic and international travel up to 10%
Must be authorized to work in the United States
