Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with a minimum of 5 years of experience in setting up and operating CNC machinery. The ideal candidate will have the ability to set up and operate CNC Mills, lathes, and vertical milling machines, with experience in HAAS and Okuma machines being a plus. Proficiency in using precision measuring tools, cutting tools, boring bars, and fixtures is essential. The candidate should be able to work from blueprints, rough sketches, and customer samples in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machinery including Mills, lathes, and vertical milling machines.
Utilize HAAS and Okuma machines as required.
Use precision measuring tools, cutting tools, boring bars, and fixtures effectively.
Interpret and work from blueprints, rough sketches, and customer samples.
Maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience with CNC machinery setup and operation.
Proficiency in CNC programming and machine operation.
Experience with HAAS and Okuma machines.
Ability to work from blueprints and schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Surfcam programming software.
Any programming experience is advantageous.
CMM experience is a plus.

Work Environment
Work in a machine shop that is not climate controlled, experiencing both hot and cold conditions. The company provides uniforms and laundry service. There are openings for first shift, Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 3pm (5/8s), and second shift, Monday to Thursday, 6:30am - 5pm (4/10s).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
