Maintenance Mechanic I (On-Site)
A growing manufacturing company in the Santa Clarita Valley is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic I to join their team. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting daily production operations to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production equipment
Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with changeovers, part fabrication, and shop maintenance
Document all maintenance activities in CMMS (MP2)
Ensure safety protocols are followed and equipment is running efficiently
Collaborate with operators, engineers, and quality teams to meet production goals
Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits (460 VAC/110 VAC), and fluid power
Experience using hand and power tools; ability to troubleshoot basic PLC systems is a plus
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and maintenance software (MP2) a plus
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
Must be able to lift 10-50 lbs and work in a standing position for extended periods
Comfortable working around production equipment, mechanical parts, and allergens
Regular exposure to varying temperatures, moderate noise levels, and industrial environments
