The NCDAC / Support Services / Division of Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance (DECM) is recruiting for anenergized and collaborative Regional Maintenance Electronics Technician (Electronics Technician II) to be a part of theRaleigh Satellite Maintenance Team. This position has a duty station at North Carolina Correctional Institute for Women(NCCIW) in Raleigh, NC and will be tasked with completing electronics preventative maintenance and like-in-kind ForceAccount system replacements.
A successful candidate for this Regional Maintenance Electronics Technician (Electronics Technician II)
position, shallhave journeyman level experience in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electronics systems,equipment, and machinery; be able to work independently to complete work assignments received by a supervisor; readand interpret blueprints; and perform other assigned duties.
This position requires the daily commute to North Carolina Correctional Institute for Women (NCCIW) in Raleigh, NC,while also assisting the Raleigh Satellite Maintenance Team with electronic preventative maintenance at other regionalInstitutions. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. The work schedule is Monday – Fridayand may require some weekend work and overnight travel to meet the demands of the organization.
Management Preferences:
- Demonstrated experience in the installation, programming, testing, and troubleshooting of head end controlequipment used with class A loop building fire alarm life safety systems, internet and phone communicationsystems, tool control systems, video surveillance systems, electronic and pneumatic security control systems,perimeter security systems, AND / OR building automation systems.
- Demonstrated experience in the installation of low voltage conduit and circuitry for class A loop building fire alarmlife safety systems, internet and phone communication systems, tool control systems, video surveillance systems,electronic and pneumatic security control systems, perimeter security systems, AND / OR building automationsystems.
- Demonstrated experience with standard test equipment to diagnose electronic components.
- Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Associate's degree in electronics from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of progressive experience inthe repair and maintenance of complex electronic systems including some responsibility for the design of electronicapparatus; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Based on the nature of work performed, may requireappropriate licensure by the governing board or commission.
