Job Summary:
We are seeking a Part-Time Lead Mechanic for a temporary assignment with no defined end date. This role is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC and Refrigeration systems, including chilled water systems, boilers, and other mechanical, electrical, and building systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in technical execution and support junior technicians while ensuring work aligns with client expectations and safety standards.
Pay: $38.00 / hour
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
- Valid, unexpired driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of HVAC experience preferred
- Trade or vocational certification in refrigeration/HVAC preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support HVAC maintenance and repair tasks
- Troubleshoot and calibrate HVAC components (e.g., thermostats, burners, relays, etc.)
- Use standard HVAC tools (e.g., multimeter, refrigerant gauges, hand tools)
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems
- Identify and mitigate maintenance risks
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
- Perform emergency repairs and warranty services
- Maintain accurate daily logs and maintenance records
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior staff
- Respond to customer inquiries and service requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
