Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer participates in managing and maintaining all broadcast and technology related equipment within the facility.

• Install, maintain, configure, and update all broadcast and information technology equipment and cabling in the facility
• Understand and assist in compliance with rules and regulations applicable to FCC, local, state, and federal laws.
• Help implement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the facility.
• Provide desktop support
• Evaluate, select, install, service and maintain facility broadcast and information technology systems
• Basic in-house IT support
• Other duties as needed

• Requirements and Skills

• 3 years previous broadcast engineering experience
• The ability to terminate broadcast and IT cables is required
• Experience with Broadcast automation systems, routers, audio consoles, studio lighting, satellite ground stations and RF preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Basic understanding of Networking and internet security
• Ability to read schematic diagrams
• Ability to work extended hours and be on call as needed. May include overnight and weekends
• Excellent communication skills
• Can Do attitude .
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• The desire to learn new skills consistent with good engineering/ IT practices.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds as well work on ladders
